Video Skills Test



I interviewed Amy Birch for my video about tuition fees. I found this video relatively easy to do, I used a flip camera to film the piece and I used Windows Movie Maker to edit it and add a title. I then uploaded the video to youtube and embeded it into my blog.

According to Home Office and their research development it shows that burglary seems to have increased on some items and decreased on others. Certain possessions are being stolen more than they were.From the graph above it is clear that computer equipment for example has risen by 7% and jewellery has also risen by 3%. On the other hand items such as mobile phones and toiletries have dropped.


Citywire has a database where people can find the worst hit places for burglary home insurance claims and know how to secure themselves better, as places like London are the worst hit areas.


As for crime overall according to the British Crime Survey being a victim of crime fell to 21.5%, whereas the previous year’s figure was 22.4%.Vehicle related theft has also fallen since 2009 by 12% and vandalism has fallen by 6%.
The largest falls in crime between 2009 and 2010 were criminal damage and vehicle vandalism.
People are becoming more vigilant in the present day with neighbourhood watch schemes playing a key role in society.
However although crime has fallen it is still a huge issue across the UK.
