View Lancashire Evening Post Stories in a larger map

This is a map of 4 Lancashire Evening Post news stories.
To do this I created my own google map and located each area of where the stories happened.
Each story is plotted on the map with a significant icon to represent part of the story e.g. The Post Office story has an envelope.
I have ensured that each story is linked to the LEP website aswell as linking to another website which has some relevance.

Original Photo (click to see full size)

The original photo was taken of the C&T building at the University of Central Lancashire. I chose this building because I believe that it portrayed the University sign well as it was clear and large. Also the building was quite colourful and I believe this made it stand out. I have cropped each photo to the desired width and height (pixels) using the photoshop elements editor.

100x100
The first crop (100x100) is a thumbnail picture which captures roughly the same elements as the original picture only alot smaller with parts of the original photo cropped out.

400(wide)x300(high)
The second crop (400x300) again captures the main part of the photo (that being the UCLan sign) cutting out anything that may not be relevant e.g. benches.

200(wide)x500(high)

The final crop (200x500) has been centered onto the UCLan sign as the main image and all other parts around the sign have been cropped.
